Nikon COOLPIX S700 Review

- 12.1 megapixel resolution
lets you capture outstandingly detailed images, crop creatively and produce stunningly sharp poster-size enlargements.

- Swift response: 0.9 seconds power-up and fast release-time lag (under 0.005 seconds when Response Priority mode is set).

- EXPEED image processing engine for optimum performance and maximum image quality.

- 2.7 in. acrylic LCD monitor: 160-degree horizontal and vertical viewing angle. With protective acrylic panel to help prevent scratches and fingerprints, and anti-reflection coating to simplify shooting in bright sunlight.

- Optical 3x Zoom-NIKKOR lens: for incredibly sharp, clear images. 35mm equivalent of 37mm-111mm.

- High sensitivity up to ISO 3200:
enables faster shutter speeds to significantly reduce the risk of blurry images when you shoot fast-moving subjects or take pictures in low light (ISO 3200 is only available for image sizes of 5M (2592 x1944) or smaller).

- Optical Vibration Reduction image stabilization system counters the effects of camera shake to produce sharp images and movies and deliver clear images in low light by offering effects equivalent to using a shutter speed 3 stops faster.

- High Sensitivity mode: minimizes image blur by automatically selecting the optimal light setting from ISO 64 to ISO 1600 to match the scene at hand.

- High-quality metallic body: the smallest in the world* for its class. *) Among competing models with 10 effective megapixels or higher as of August 30, 2007 (according to research conducted by NIKON CORPORATION).

- Advanced Face-priority AF can quickly detect and focus on up to 12 faces in the frame, and works together with Face-priority AE to meter the lighting around the face for more accurate exposure.

- Distortion Control corrects barrel distortion automatically. Effects can be checked in real-time on the LCD monitor.

- Rotary multi-selector enhances easy operation.

- Body color: silver and Urban Black (Color versions may vary depending on country or region).
